Photographers: Rafał Milach, Agnieszka Rayss, Adam Pańczuk, Michał Łuczak, Jan Brykczyński Exhibition of renown Polish photographers on the topic of Iceland shown through personal perspective of artists. Exhibition is accompanied by a presentation of Polish photobooks. opening hours: 12-19 2/04-3/04 – Workshop for emerging photographers Masterclass by Rafał Milach, Agnieszka Rayss, Adam Pańczuk. Center of Contemporary Art 7/04 7pm – ‘Weather Permitting’ – a film followed by a discussion with authors A screening of a short documentary by Rafał Milach, Andrei Liankevich and Huldar Breidfjord. Þór lives with his mother on a farm in the northwest of Iceland. He goes to school in a nearby village while his mother tends their flock of two hundred sheep. They are the last remaining people to inhabit the Ingjaldssandur fjord and their annual struggle with the isolation of harsh winter is only made worse by the terrible condition of the only road that leads to civilization. Centre of Contemporary Art 8/04 7pm – ‘Grace of God’ a film followed by a discussion with authors A screening of a short documentary by Agnieszka Rayss, Jan Brykczyński and Kristjan Palsson Grace of God is a documentary reflecting on the complex relationships between humans and domesticated animals. Thirteen individuals share their stories of personal experiences with a particular animal, relaying everything from profound friendships to a range of unusual interactions. The film takes place in the countryside of rural Iceland. Screening with Azerbaijani subtitles. Centre of Contemporary Art 9/04 10am – 1pm – Portfolio review for photographers Rafał Milach, Agnieszka Rayss and Adam Pańczuk will offer guidance for emerging photographers willing to show their portfolios. Previous registration required. Event in Russian only. Centre of Contemporary Art 9/04 3 pm – authors meeting on the exhibition ‘IS(NOT)’ Photographers from Sputnik Photos will show the photos of the collective (2006-2016) as well as talk about Polish emerging photographers.
